The Life Cycle Institute, a consultancy focused on helping manufacturers improve their asset maintenance practices, has joined forces with the University of Tennessee's Center for Executive Education to create a certificate learning program that the organizations say will help support companies' lean manufacturing efforts.
The first offering of the weeklong course, which is titled Establishing Reliability Excellence for Lean Implementation, or Lean Reliability, will be on the University of Tennessee's Knoxville campus Oct. 12-17, 2008.
According to the new partners, the course caters to plant managers, maintenance managers, business unit managers, and directors and VPs of operations "who are interested in transforming their business through the principles of lean manufacturing by first optimizing manufacturing assets and processes."
