SaaS enterprise applications provider NetSuite Inc. last week said it has elevated its partnership with SaaS-based integration appliance vendor Cast Iron Systems, forming what company officials called a “strategic alliance.”
Announcement of the new relationship followed Cast Iron’s acquisition by IBM.
The expanded relationship means NetSuite will work with IBM’s vast sales channel, including direct sales, channel partners, resellers, and VARs, which will sell NetSuite’s applications in conjunction with the Cast Iron integration appliance, said Glenn Griffin, NetSuite’s vice president of worldwide business development and alliances, in an interview with Managing Automation.
Cast Iron, which sells a cloud-based tool that can be used to integrate SaaS applications with on-premise systems, previously was part of NetSuite’s SuiteCloud developer partner program along with other providers of cloud-based integration services, including Boomi, Pervasive Software, and Informatica.
