MDT Software, a provider of change management software for automation assets, has introduced a reports module that lets users of its AutoSave change management software generate more than 70 unique reports from historical data stored in AutoSave’s database.
AutoSave is designed to “protect, save, restore, discover, and track changes in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, robots, and other programmable devices and documents,” the company said. The reporting capability exposes changes in the automation layer to improve plant performance, according to a statement.
The AutoSave Reports Module, used with AutoSave modules that support devices and programming software from Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, and other companies, lets users do the following:
- Filter data to access specific information. Users can search historical data by such parameters as date range, program, client, agent, bridge, wire, device, family, or user.
- Receive and run reports as needed, either manually or on a specified schedule, including as part of a clustered sequence.
- Receive detailed information that can help identify problem areas and improve processes; users can view program statistics for an area or entire system.
- Validate quality assurance processes and create audit reports.
- Identify at-risk areas by revealing, for example, scheduled comparison differences between programs, or identifying programs that are not in a scheduled comparison group.
