Most businesses know that an ERP software selection can be a daunting task. These days, that task is complicated by the raft of deployment options that vendors offer for their enterprise resource planning software, including the increasingly popular cloud-based implementation.
Small and midsize ERP software provider Exact added one of its products to that list this week with the announcement of Macola On Demand. The software suite is tailored to manufacturing and distribution companies, and with the latest release can be accessed via the cloud, relieving customers of the need to buy and maintain supporting hardware.
Macola On Demand is the SaaS version of Exact’s Manufacturing Pro offering, an ERP suite whose core functions include bill of material management, material requirements planning, manufacturing cost accounting, production order processing, shop-floor control, inventory management, and customer relationship management. The Macola ERP software is tuned to the needs of machinery, aerospace, automotive, and electronics companies, although the ERP vendor stressed in a statement that its use is not limited to those industries.
