GE Intelligent Platforms has introduced yet another solution in its operational excellence Proficy Accelerator portfolio that this time provides a comprehensive view of packaging lines to increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
The Proficy Accelerator for Packaging Line OEE combines GE’s pre-configured templates designed for line-level analytics with pre-packaged proprietary algorithms from SlimSoft Solutions Inc., a GE solution partner.
According to GE, the latest addition to the Proficy Accelerator out-of-the-box software includes specialized reports and a wide range of key performance indicators (KPIs) with analysis and details behind each KPI. In addition, a Web-based packaging line operator console gives staff the ability to view and modify collected information, while providing context for analysis as it happens (downtime, waste, etc). A real-time scoreboard display communicates machine status for the line, as well as KPIs such as capacity utilization and net utilization, to drive operator responsiveness.
