EMC Corp. this week unveiled a new software tool that the company described as an “important first step” toward managing security, risk, and regulatory compliance in multi-tenant cloud computing infrastructures.
The RSA Solution for Cloud Security and Compliance, announced at the company’s VMworld 2010 conference, ties into existing products from EMC’s RSA Security Division, including the company’s Archer security dashboard and RSA enVision security information and event management platform.
The RSA Solution for Cloud Security and Compliance is designed to allow users of EMC’s VMware virtual infrastructure to set and monitor security policies, the company said.
“RSA is delivering the first step to give customers both the capability and confidence to extend their VMware deployments to handle business-critical applications while providing a simpler and easier way to help ensure compliance for cloud infrastructures,” said RSA Chief Technology Officer Bret Hartman in a prepared statement.
