ERP and CRM specialist Consona Corp. has announced full integration capabilities between its ERP products and Dassault’s SolidWorks 2008 3D CAD software, a marriage that the companies say will enable product designers and engineers to avoid duplicate data entry and production disruptions caused by revision discrepancies.

Enhancements to SolidWorks 2008 include an improved user interface and 3D graphics. Within the SolidWorks application, users can now access the Consona products’ ERP database, create and edit new records and BOMs, identify discrepancies, and manage the revision process.

“Engineers don’t have time to worry about software complexity or the potential problems of jumping between separate applications,” said SolidWorks Director of Marketing and Alliances Efrat Ravid. “Combining Consona’s rich ERP capabilities with SolidWorks’ 3D CAD design enables engineers to focus on innovation, quality and efficiency instead of how to use software.”

Consona’s ERP offerings include the Made2Manage, Intuitive, and Encompix brands.
