Eagle Test Systems, Inc., a maker of semiconductor test equipment, announced recently that it was replacing a number of legacy operational systems with Camstar’s Electronics Suite in an effort to better the yield and the quality of its manufacturing output, as well as improve visibility and traceability into the process.

In a statement, Adam B. Plummer, Eagle Test’s vice president of IT, noted that Eagle’s build-to-order business demands quick product delivery to customers. The improved visibility that Eagle hopes to realize through the Electronics Suite will help the manufacturer detect and address operational issues sooner, according to Plummer.

Eagle Test announced in early September that it would be bought out by Teradyne, Inc., which specializes in system-on-a-chip semiconductor testing.
