MES provider Camstar Systems, Inc. has announced the release of a manufacturing intelligence module geared specifically for medical device manufacturers. eDHR Intelligence version 4.2 uses SAP's xMII platform to provide an out-of-the-box method for medical device manufacturers to measure performance of manufacturing operations with real-time KPIs. The application automates work order execution from SAP's ERP system to Camstar's MES and quality execution system, delivering progress reports back in real time. New features simplify the entire business process, from plan to delivery, the company said. In addition, manufacturers using eDHR Intelligence 4.2 will benefit from a composite view of production orders, detailed work-in-process prioritization and status, actual yields, expected completions, and, ultimately, delivery to the customer.
