MES-to-ERP integration just got a little easier for users of FACTIVITY Inc.'s manufacturing execution system software. FACTIVITY is teaming up with SAP software integrator Gesix Inc. to link SAP's ERP software with the factory floor application via the GESIX Integration Engine.

The MES-to-ERP integration is said to improve visibility related to work orders on the floor, provide better labor tracking, and offer real-time management alerts. FACTVITY describes its product as a lean MES system, using finite sequencing logic to line up work based on capacity and user-defined rules. It also provides access to critical documents such as CAD drawings, setup instructions, and video clips.

By leveraging Gesix technology, FACTIVITY also gains access to the Gesix EzySolutions tools for SAP, including RF wireless inventory management technology.
