Power and automation technology provider ABB has announced a consulting service called the ABB Reliability Fingerprint. The Fingerprint service is a two-week assessment focused on improving site productivity, reliability practices, and maintenance costs by identifying and documenting opportunities for enhancing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), maintenance performance, and reliability culture.
Data is collected on-site the first week, followed by offsite analysis and reporting. The site is benchmarked against leading process industry and manufacturing sites, according to ABB's World-Class Reliability best practices database.
"[The new service] allows the plant to better quantify the financial contribution maintenance is making," said Andy Ginder, vice president of ABB Reliability Consulting.
The ABB Reliability Fingerprint service, available for both process and discrete manufacturing industries, costs $20,000 to $30,000, ABB said.
