WhereNet's Visibility Server Software is an integrated software package that provides all the tools required to effectively manage assets and resources as well as the WhereNet Real-Time Locating System (RTLS). Visibility provides all core software components to allow efficient resource management with capabilities that have never existed before. Key among those software components is WhereSoft Locate, which is a distributed Windows Service. When WhereSoft Locate is combined with Visibility and any of the many applications available from WhereNet, it is now possible to locate assets, know their status, and react to any number of user configurable alert conditions. New capabilities include: The ability to reduce spoilage and product obsolescence; eliminate search teams; eliminate audits and cycle counts; and achieve a higher level of inventory accuracy. Visibility also provides the tools required to control and monitor the Real-Time Location System (RTLS). It includes configuration tools, diagnostics, system alerts, an interface manager and installation tools. The Alert System allows for email and paging notifications. Even SNMP MIB definition extensions are included so that the RTLS system can be managed as part of the enterprise standard IT infrastructure. One of the key components included within Visibility is WhereSoft Launcher. Launcher provides a single point of entry to all the components of Visibility. Residing as a tray icon, the launcher can be easily accessed and includes the following groups of software modules: Operation, Administration, Diagnostics, Installation and Documentation.
