Obviously, this isn?t the case everywhere. Finally, it is worth noting that for those companies using EOQ, it is normally done by them and then plugged into their system, rather than having the system cover all three functions you ask about. That said, there are a number of applications on the market that calculate EOQ, including products from Sage, Logistics Planning Associates, and Amplexus, among others. There are dozens of applications on the market that support demand forecasting or transportation models, which are easy to find. As for providing demand forecasting and transportation model functions in the same systems, CAPS Logistics, ILOG and OMI International have applications that provide both. |
