Alan Alper has covered the information technology industry for over 20 years as a reporter, editor and analyst. As editor of ManagingAutomation.com, he is responsible for the site's content and community services, among other things. Previously, Alan was editorial director at Gomez, Inc., an Internet benchmarking and advisory services firm. He was also news and magazines group editor at Computerworld, and has worked for CMP and Ziff Davis in a variety of roles. Alan has B.A. in Communications from the University of New York at Albany.

Glenn is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers' advisory division, working closely with boards of directors, audit committees, and executive management teams in various performance improvement areas spanning governance, risk management, internal control, corporate compliance, and finance process improvement. Glenn has supported clients in many industries, with a primary concentration in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) sector. Additionally, Glenn is a contributing author to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework recently released by the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO), and a frequent speaker on the topics of governance, risk management and compliance (GRC). Representative A&D clients include The Boeing Company, Rockwell Collins, Bombardier, Alliant Techsystems, and Vought Aircraft. Other GRC clients include Nicor Inc., Cinergy Corp., Noble Corporation, Caterpillar Inc., Eli Lilly, ITOCHU International Inc., Monsanto, Waste Management, Omnicare, Inc., H&R Block Inc., AEGON USA, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Fireman?s Fund, and Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Judy Glazer, PhD

Dir. Strategic Process Development - Supply Chain, Hewlett Packard

Dr. Glazer manages supply chain social and environmental responsibility programs for Hewlett Packard. In this role, she leads programs for reduction of hazardous substances (RoHS) and materials declaration. She is also responsible for implementing the company's code of conduct for labor, health and safety, and environmental standards in one of the electronics industry's largest supply chains, as well as HP's supplier diversity program. Glazer joined Hewlett-Packard in 1989 and has held various supply chain and engineering positions. From 1999-2003, she was Director of the Electronics Systems Technology Center, a shared hardware engineering organization that bridges product design and supply chain.

Mark S. Beasley

Professor/Dir,, Enterprise Risk Management, North Carolina State Univ.

Mark S. Beasley is a Professor in the Department of Accounting and the Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative at North Carolina State University where he teaches auditing courses in the undergraduate and masters programs. He is a member of NC State's Academy of Outstanding Teachers, the College of Management's recipient of the Board of Governor's Teaching Award, and a member of NC State's Academy of Outstanding Faculty Engaged in Extension. Dr. Beasley has actively conducted research related to financial statement fraud, corporate governance, and auditor quality. His work has been published in numerous academic and professional journals and citations have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business Week, and USA Today. He serves on the editorial boards of four academic journals, and he is the recipient of the American Accounting Association's Competitive Manuscript Award and the Auditing Section's Notable Contributions to the Auditing Literature Award. Dr. Beasley is involved in numerous national initiatives affecting the profession. He currently serves on the board for the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (widely known at COSO -- see www.coso.org). He recently served on COSO's Enterprise Risk Management Advisory Council, the AICPA's Antifraud Programs and Controls Task Force, and several AICPA Auditing Standards Board task forces, including the SAS No. 99 Fraud Task Force. Dr. Beasley is the co-author of several continuing education courses and other reference manuals designed for accounting practitioners, which provide technical updates on emerging auditing issues.
