Anybus Communicator can connect almost any product with a serial RS-232/422/485 communication interface to Fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet networks. The Communicator performs an intelligent conversion between the serial protocol and the chosen industrial network. The translation between the serial protocol and the network is configured by using the software "ABC Config Tool."
